Sigvi Raises €1.2M to Build Fully Automated Car Rental Network

July 29, 2026

Vilnius, July 27th, 2026 — Sigvi, AI revenue agent for the car rental industry, has raised €1.2 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate product development and international expansion.

The round was led by a Helsinki-based venture capital firm Superhero Capital. Vladas Lašas, Chairman of the Lithuanian Business Angel Network (LitBAN) and co-founder of the Carbon War Room participated alongside other angel investors.

Rather than owning vehicles, Sigvi aggregates cars from independent fleet operators and private owners and automates the entire rental lifecycle. Its AI engine handles dynamic pricing, bookings, and keyless 24/7 vehicle access, as well as automated vehicle inspections, predictive maintenance scheduling, and customer support.

Sigvi launched operations in Poland in June 2026, a market that recorded 7.2% growth in tourist accommodation nights in 2025 – the second-highest increase in the EU. The company currently manages over 200 vehicles serving clients from tourists, to long-term renters.

The investment comes as European travel continues to reach new highs. According to Eurostat, travellers spent nearly 3.1 billion nights in tourist accommodation across the EU in 2025, a 2.2% increase over 2024 and the highest level ever recorded. Yet for travellers, renting a car remains one of the least digitised parts of the journey, where paper contracts and counter queues are still the norm.

“Europe is travelling more than ever, but the car rental experience hasn’t evolved at the same pace,” said Vytis Šliažas, CEO and co-founder of Sigvi. “Travellers expect to book a car as easily as they book accommodation. Meanwhile, thousands of quality vehicles owned by independent operators sit idle because they lack the technology to reach those customers. We’re building the AI layer that connects both sides, unlocking cheaper, greener, and fully digital car rental.”

For travellers, the result is a wide selection of professionally managed vehicles, typically priced around 30% below traditional international rental brands, available from pickup locations with no counter and no queue. Because the platform puts existing, second-cycle vehicles to productive use rather than purchasing new fleets, it offers a more sustainable model, maximising utilisation of cars already on the road rather than adding new ones.

“Sigvi has found a structural inefficiency in a massive market and built an elegant solution around it,” said Gytenis Galkis, Partner at Superhero Capital. “We see a clear path for Sigvi to become the digital infrastructure layer for independent car rental across Europe.”

The new funding will be used to further develop Sigvi’s AI automation platform and increase its managed network to 2,000 vehicles within two years.
